The instrument we used

The instrument we used contains a laser that illuminates the sample of sea water that we have taken and an analyzer detecting the intensity of the transmitted signal according to the different wavelengths. The measures have been geolocated. We took in principle a sample every hour or less, depending on sea  conditions. The data have been recorded on the instrument itself and on the on-board computer and will be compared with satellite images of the area to calibrate the satellite's instruments. The tests helped us to detect the improvements needed to upgrade the reliability of the instrument and its ease of use.

Output sample

This is an example of the kind of results we have obtained for each sample, with the numerical values and the graph of the transmitted wavelengths

We performed this work without any external financing.

Supporting this research would be for you a source of pride and for us it would mean a lot to be able to count on the contributions of people who are sensitive to the environmental issue.

If you want to help us carry out this research, for every donation of at least € 30.00, if you do not want to stay anonymous, we will send you a page similar to that of photography and related to the sample that you have contributed to finance.

A heartfelt thanks !!!
